About: PRV Audio 6MR600X-NDY-4 6.5" Neodymium Midrange Loudspeaker 600W RMS - 4 Ohms

X-treme midrange performance is what the PRV Audio 6MR600X-NDY-4 is all about. The 6MR600X-NDY-4 from PRV Audio showcases the breakthrough advances of our product line like no other. After significant development, and assembling top of the line components, we have created a midrange loudspeaker that offers long lasting play, even during intense use, as well as outstanding durability.

This is the ultimate midrange loudspeaker, the 6MR600X-NDY-4’s output on upper midrange frequencies compares to a compression driver! The naturally damped paper cone gives this speaker the ability to reach up to 13,000Hz. Also, its extreme output eliminates the need for a high frequency compression driver in the system, providing 2-way coaxial performance from a single speaker!

Its high energy, rare-earth neodymium motor, combined with other fine materials, were chosen to increase sensitivity and power handling to deliver the finest details in audio, as demanded by most audiophiles and custom builders in the car audio and motorcycle custom builders. This midrange takes performance to the next level with its wide frequency bandwidth, high output levels between 3,000 to 10,000Hz, and unbelievable 600 Watts RMS music power handling, completely eliminating the need for a compression driver on your system!

This midrange incorporates a 2” double layered copper clad aluminum wire voice coil, and a symmetrical inductance profile. Its 11 mm winding length also ensures high heat dissipation and high sensitivity, even on high power, and with minimum distortion. Everything about this speaker has been designed for reliable and consistent high output levels, even when driven to its limit, allowing you to achieve high fidelity sound at low distortion for the best possible listening experience.

Note:

  • Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.
  • Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to avoid a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
  • Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
