About: PRV Audio WG175Ph Pro Audio Combo Compression Driver
The WG175Ph compression driver combo is known for excellent driver performance, reliability, and power handling as replacement and upgrade for many PA speakers that use a standard 1-3/8″-18 TPI horn. The WG175Ph is a lightweight driver that weighs just 1.92 lbs, and yet offers you outstanding response through 19kHz.
PRV Audio's WG175Ph is a compact 8 ohm super tweeter designed for use in smaller 2-way and 3-way systems. The driver uses a 1" phenolic diaphragm mated to a Kapton former with CCAW (copper-clad aluminum wire) minimizing moving mass to provide smooth response at the highest maximum output. The 4.5" x 4.5" horn produces a controlled 45° x 45° dispersion pattern to reduce unwanted reflections while still delivering room filling sound. With a common footprint, this is an excellent tweeter for use as a replacement, or in compact 2-way or 3-way high output speaker systems.
